We have completed the first meeting kicking off our strategic planning process. Citizens met to propose and discuss the future of Alva. There will be four more meetings over the next few months culminating in a comprehensive strategic plan for our future.

I believe this is a great opportunity for our community. This process will guide our City Council, business and industry leaders, school officials and committees in their efforts to improve the quality of life we can offer for the future.

The strategic planning process motto is “Alva Alive.” We are alive and moving towards a goal that is realistic and attainable. Join us in this effort, give us your ideas, be a part of the future of Alva.
