Troy grew up in the Alva area Farming and Ranching, graduated from AHS, joined the Oklahoma Army National Guard, and attended NWOSU. Graduated from Georgia State University, Worked in EMS and became Director of Alva EMS for 10 years, and left to work in his family insurance agency. Has been married to Li Ping Brooks for the last 20 years.
