My husband, Terry, and I moved to Alva in 1982. I worked for Alva Public Schools for 28 years as a teacher, retiring in 2017.  I also worked with Alva ambulance service for 22 years as an EMT. I teach Sunday school, sing in the choir and play in the bell choir at the First Baptist Church. I have  grandchildren that keep me busy, too. Working on the city council will be a new challenge for me and I will do my best.
